Real-world Experience Along with classroom learning, the Visual Communication Technology major emphasizes real-world experience. All students are
required to complete three cooperative education work assignments as part of their degree program.
These semester-long, paid co-ops provide students with the opportunity to apply their classroom skills in a professional work
setting and to earn competitive wages that can help fund the cost of a college education. Graduates of the program can confidently
list one year of related work experience among their credentials when they launch their first job search. Many students secure
their first permanent job with one of their co-op employers.
