ASC Chicago Competition Winners

Congratulations to our two Construction Management teams for winning first place in the Associated Schools of Construction regional competition in Chicago on October 18-20. The competition was against 22 other schools from the Great Lakes Region and consisted of estimating projects in the heavy highway and commercial construction areas. The teams reviewed plans and documents on Thursday for a very long day and presented to a construction panel on Friday winning first place trophies and $1000 per team for the Construction Management Program. The commercial construction team members were Mike Green, Adam Muth, Travis Philo, Mike Noward, Alex Hoffman, and Derick Johannsen. The heavy highway team members were Alex DeNigris, Ryan Poling, Dan Dedinsky, Dylan Rooney, Zach Shepard, and Zach Green. In the more than 20 years that BGSU has participated in this competition, rarely does a single school win in both divisions. This has been an outstanding accomplishment by our students and the Construction Management Department and the College of Technology are extremely pleased to congratulate these students on their accomplishment.
