The Construction Management program prepares you for leadership and management roles in the rapidly expanding field of construction. Students are given a blend of course work and real life experience ranging from academic work in the classroom to cooperative education in the business world. Nearly all classes involve a laboratory setting where concepts learned in the classroom are applied in the real world.

BGSU’s Construction Management program is one of only two in Ohio and 62 nationwide that is accredited by the prestigious American Council for Construction Education, or the ACCE. This organization only gives its “seal of approval” to the very best four year programs in the construction science, management and technology fields. Additionally, the CM program is also fully accredited the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering, or ATMAE.

The graduate of the CM program receives a Bachelor of Science in Technology degree and can look forward to several great career choices ranging from many different positions including:

• Material Representative
• Scheduler
• Project Inspector
• Estimator

Your degree will also prepare you to work for construction contractors, engineering and architectural firms, public agencies and trade associations.

BGSU offers exemplary resources for finding Co-ops and internships including a readily available, helpful, student friendly staff and access to sites such as PlacePro, a search engine and personal domain that allows you to upload resumes and portfolios to send to potential employers all at a click of a mouse.
