Architecture & Environmental Design - Study Abroad

Study Abroad

London Paris Rome: Architecture, Art & Design.

This 3 semester hour class is a 30-day short term program that features 18 days in the London, 4 days in Paris, and 7 days in Italy (5 days in Rome and 2 days in Florence). The itinerary in London includes 5 days of an internship or a focused study program in your academic area. This is a key class activity that provides a unique learning opportunity for architecture and design students as well as a customized learning experience for students in other majors. The short-term format allows students to return in time to work and/or take other summer classes, and is intended to be an alternative to the traditional full-semseter study abroad programs but still giving students time to develop a true feel for the experience of life in these great cities.

However, for those students interested in a full summer program the class time-frame will enable you to stay in Europe and participate in other programs such as the BGSU SACI program in Florence.

For BGSU architecture majors this course can count as an architectural elective or can be used to count towards a cooperative education substitution if combined with an independent study and additional work experience over the academic term. Architecture majors at other institutions should consult their academic advisor(s) to determine how the course will apply in their specific curriculum and/or degree-track.
