Chair of Architecture and Environmental Design Department

 

General Description

The Department of Architecture and Environmental Design at the Bowling Green State University in Ohio invites applications for the position of chair of the department, commencing July 1, 2013.

 

Major Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be expected to develop a dynamic vision for the future of the department in consultation with the dean and faculty.

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must be qualified by education and experience and with credentials that warrant a tenured appointment at an associate or full professor rank.  
  • Candidates must possess at least a professional Master’s Degree in Architecture, and must show significant commitment to professional development. A Doctorate Degree in Architecture is preferred.  
  • Candidates must provide evidence of professional practice and registration.  
  • The candidate is expected to have an exceptional record of practice, service involvement, research, and publication.   
  • Applicants should also have six to ten years teaching experience in a university environment,
  • Applicants should have demonstrated capabilities in scholarly and/or creative work
  • Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with others.

 

Salary and Position

Salary is competitive, commensurate with rank/position, based on candidate experience and credentials.
