Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs

 

General Description

The College of Technology at Bowling Green State University is seeking to fill the position of Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs.  The College of Technology is comprised of four departments:  Architecture and Environmental Design, Construction Management Technology, Engineering Technologies, and Visual Communication & Technology Education.

 

Major Responsibilities

  • The Associate Dean will be responsible for providing academic leadership, in collaboration with Department Chairs, for all undergraduate education programs within the College.  
  • The Associate Dean will take a leadership role in the development of the curriculum, the hiring of faculty and staff, and the management of ABET, NAAB, ACCE and ATMAE accreditation efforts in collaboration with the Chairs.  
  • The Associate Dean will oversee all academic assessment activities.  

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a Ph.D. in one of the disciplines within the College, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or Computer Graphics Technology (VCT) 
  • Must have the academic qualification to be appointed as tenured full/associate professor; 
  • Must have 3 – 5 years of academic administrative experience.  
  • Experience in ABET or NAAB accreditation and cooperative education is preferable.  

 

Salary and Position

Salary is competitive, commensurate with rank/position, based on candidate experience and credentials.
