From the program leader

Dear construction friend,

As the construction management and technology program leader, I welcome you to our inaugural online newsletter. It is an exciting time to be part of Bowling Green State University’s Construction Management and Technology (CM&T) Program and we want to keep you updated on our progress and plans. Since our beginnings as an industrial arts program in 1969, we have grown to be a significant player in the area of construction management education.

  • The number of students has almost doubled in the past 10 years to more than 200 enrolled students.
  • We have six full-time educators and more than 800 alumni involved with the program.
  • Our required co-op and internship program continues to be a hallmark of the program, with students gaining invaluable hands-on experience and employers hiring highly qualified graduates.
  • The program is one of only 60 programs accredited by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), the competitive accrediting agency for four-year baccalaureate degree programs in construction, construction science, construction management and construction technology.
  • Generous gifts to the Construction Management Advancement Program are allowing students and faculty to further develop professional skills by attending competitions, conferences and seminars.
  • Our graduates continue to secure competitive job positions as project managers, estimators, schedulers, project inspectors, superintendents and material representatives.

I hope you find the newsletter informative; we will check back with you next spring. In the meantime, I always welcome calls or email to discuss your thoughts about the program or industry.
