Every program in the College of Technology emphasizes real-world experience. All students except those in technology education
required to complete three cooperative education work assignments as part of their degree program. Technology education majors spend 10 weeks student teaching. Students with
an associate degree at the time they first enroll at BGSU complete only two co-ops.
The semester-long, paid co-ops provide you with the opportunity to apply your classroom skills in a professional work setting
and to earn competitive wages that can help fund the cost of your education. When you graduate from the College of Technology
and begin your job search, you can confidently list one year of related work experience among your credentials. Many students
find their first permanent job with one of their co-op employers.
