| Description | Electronics and computer technology is the study of electronics and computers. Course topics include electronic components such as transistors; electric motors; instrumentation and measurement circuits; programmable logic controllers that are used in assembly lines; computer and digital circuits; electronic communication circuits such as those used in TV, radio, and wireless applications; and computer networks such as those used in the Internet. | Computer science is the systematic study of computing systems and computation. The body of knowledge resulting from this discipline contains theories for understanding computing systems and methods; design methodology, algorithms, and tools; methods for the testing of concepts; methods of analysis and verification; and knowledge representation and implementation. | The management information systems program focuses on using computers as a functional tool within an organization to solve problems. Graduates will be able to analyze an organization's computer needs, plan a computer-based delivery system to meet these needs and direct the implementation and operation of the computer system. |
