Dean's Page at the College of Technology
On behalf of our students, faculty and staff, I’d like to welcome you to Bowling Green State University and the College of Technology! Our mission is focused on preparing a technically proficient workforce and well-educated citizens who can advance the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) disciplines and create a brighter future.
The College of Technology puts emphasis on you. All of our accolades and achievements would be nothing more than words on paper if it weren’t for our students. We strive to create robust programs that are tailored to fit your individual needs, strengths and interests.
We take the time to get to know your name, not just your student ID number, so that we can best serve you in all capacities during your four years at BGSU. We have a passion for educating students and are committed to see that you receive the attention you deserve in the classroom, the support you need at home, and the tools you need to find the job that is perfect for you.
We ensure our faculty are some of the top industry experts so you can learn from the best and most experienced. In addition, our undergraduate and graduate academic programs offer robust and modern curricula in technology and design disciplines such as Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Aviation, and Visual Communication Technology. In addition, the college offers online completion degrees in Quality Systems, Training and Development, and Internet and Information Studies. Our programs prepare students for careers in these disciplines as professional technologists and designers.
We embrace a culture of assessment and continuous improvement of all our academic programs, guided by the philosophies of our professional accreditation organizations such as ATMAE, ABET and NAAB. The College’s offerings encompass professional and technical programs that respond to regional economic needs and provide access to higher education for those who seek fulfillment of career and economic goals through education.
All of our on-campus undergraduate programs require students to obtain at least two semesters of work experience prior to graduation through our Cooperative Education program. This program is nationally accredited, one of twelve in the nation, and provides a 40-year rich history of excellence in cooperative education.
I invite you to explore our website to see for yourself why BGSU’s College of Technology is unique - a college that can help you build the future however you imagine.
