Recital Policies and Procedures
Creative Arts Program
All Creative Arts Program recitals must be scheduled by the Director of the Creative Arts Program, located in room 1033. The Scheduling Manager will not accept any requests for Creative Arts Program recitals from CAP faculty.
News Service is our contact with the local media. Any special promotion for your CMA/CAP event, including initiating contact with the media, must be approved by the PE office. This is a policy of the University’s Office of Marketing and Communications.
Instructors teaching for Creative Arts will be given priority for scheduling their CAP students in recitals sponsored by Creative Arts.
Program Copy is due three weeks prior to recital date and should be turned in to the CAP office and/or area coordinator.
Recording of Creative Arts Recitals should be arranged by completing a Recording Form available from Recording Services. Contact the director or manager of Recording Services at 372-8405. Recording requests must be made two weeks prior to the event to guarantee staff availability. There is a labor and materials fee.
If you have arranged with Recording Services to have the event recorded, the engineer will provide performance lighting. This applies to Bryan Recital Hall only. If you have not arranged with Recording Services to have the event recorded, performance lighting for events in Bryan Recital Hall is not available..
Performance lighting is not available in the Choral Rehearsal Hall.
