Competitions in Music Performance and Composition
The College of Musical Arts sponsors Competitions in Music Performance and Composition for both graduate and undergraduate students.
Students advancing to the finals of the competition receive a Certificate of Merit. Up to two winners may be chosen from the undergraduate division. In the graduate division, two winners may be chosen. The winners have the opportunity for a public performance with one of the University ensembles.
Students advancing to the finals of the composition portion of the competition receive a Certificate of Merit. One winner is chosen, from either the undergraduate or graduate division, and the winning composition is performed on the Annual New Music & Art Festival.
The competitions are administered by the College Competitions Coordinator. Specific information regarding competitions is made available to faculty and students well in advance of the auditions.
