Do you want to try out for the lead in next year’s school musical? Come improve your skills at the BGSU Musical Theater Camp!

This is a unique opportunity for talented high school vocalists to participate in special activities geared toward musical theater. You will strengthen your vocal and performing skills through personalized instruction and everyone will perform in the “Finale” concert on Saturday afternoon, June 28.

This specialized music camp is open to talented vocalists in grades 9–12 (2007–2008 academic year).

A cassette recording with two contrasting musical theater selections must accompany your application.

Staging the Action

Todd Schreiber, director, has been on the camp’s staff since its inception. He holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from BGSU and a master’s degree from VanderCook College in Chicago. He is currently the K–12 vocal music teacher for Whiteford Schools in Ottawa Lake, Mich. Schreiber has worked extensively throughout northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan as an accompanist, performer, vocal coach, choreographer and musical theatre director. Some of his stage and directing credits include Godspell (Jesus), Into The Woods (Baker), Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Ragtime (Father), Will Roger Follies (Will), Tommy, Cinderella, Carousel, West Side Story, Forever Plaid (Sparky), Joseph, City of Angels, The Wizard of Oz, Oklahoma, Bye Bye Birdie, Footloose and four summers with Cedar Point Live Entertainment. He also serves as co-director of Muskingum College Summer Musical Theatre Camp. An active chorister, he is a member of the Canterbury Singers, USA with which he has sung several choral residencies at cathedrals in England. In 2000, he was the opening act for the Grammy- and Dove Award-winning artist CeCe Winans.
