Are you an oboe or bassoon player looking to make that perfect reed? Or perhaps you've never learned how. Join us this summer for the 2012 Double-Reed Making Bootcamp!

Students will spend four days of reed-making sessions that will take you from the beginning stages of reed construction to putting the final touches on your existing reeds. Beginning reed makers will acquire the skills to become independent reed makers and students with reed making experience will become experts. Our talented BGSU double reed professors will guide you through the process, culminating in a presentation for parents on the final day.

Preparation: Tuition includes a materials fee for the cane that will be provided for all students in the workshop. Tools and supplies will be available for student use, but please email the directors for information about tools you could purchase or arrange to borrow before camp. Students should also bring solos or etudes they are working on as there may be master classes and private lessons.
