Community Steel Drum Ensemble (High School and older)

Instructed by Bryan Stanbridge, the Community Steel Drum Ensemble is an ensemble comprised of high school and adult community members who seek to perform in a steel band setting. Offered fall and spring session. For ensemble information and date of first rehearsal please call (419) 372-1007.

Suzuki String Program

Suzuki musical instruction will be offered on campus beginning in the fall in partnership with the Toledo Symphony School of Music (TSSM).The symphony’s School of Music offers each student a comprehensive musical experience. Each student who joins the stringed instrument program will receive private instruction, group lessons in which students learn in conjunction with their peers, and enrichment activities including music theory and appreciation, eurhythmics, special guests and multiple performance opportunities. Lessons will be offered at the college as well as at the symphony's Education Center (1838 Parkwood Ave. in Toledo). Students will develop their instrumental skills in collaboration with skilled Toledo Symphony musicians with graduate-level degrees, all certified as Suzuki instructors. University Choral Society (Adults)

Instructed by Dr. Mark Munson, the University Choral Society is a large auditioned ensemble that is comprised of adult community members and BGSU students who seek to perform large choral works with orchestra.
