Department of Music Performance Studies

Instructor of Jazz Studies. The responsibilities of this position will include teaching undergraduate and graduate jazz majors, recruitment of undergraduate and graduate students and contributing to the artistic and intellectual environment of the college and University. Primary teaching duties will include directing a jazz lab band and teaching jazz composition. Additional cours may include jazz pedagogy, applied jazz lessons and coaching jazz combos. Other duties may be assigned by the chair and/or dean. Application materials must be postmarked by June 20, 2008.

Department of Musicology/Composition/Theory

Instructor of Ethnomusicology. The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching world music and/or music appreciation in the general education curriculum, area studies courses in world music and other teaching duties as assigned by the chair and/or dean.
