Music from Bowling Green at the Manor House
The Outreach Program of the College of Musical Arts presents a number of events off-campus each year. Among them, the popular “Bowling Green at the Manor House” program begins its season in October. The following concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor House at Toledo’s Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
Manor House events for 2009–2010 will include:
- October 6 – Clarinet Students from the Studio of Kevin Schempf
- October 20 – Bowling Green Opera Theater presents scenes from Telemann's Don Quixote and Falla's Master Pedro's Puppet Show
- October 27 – Piano Students from the Studio of Robert Satterlee
- November 10 – Oboe Students from the Studio of Jacqueline Leclair
- November 17 – Graduate String Quartet
- January 19 – Voice Students from the Studio of Sean Cooper
- February 2 – Selections from opera, musical theater and art song literature presented by Voice Students from the Studio of Jane Schoonmaker Rodgers
- February 9 – Viola Students from the Studio of Megan Fergusson
- February 16 – Piano Students from the Studio of Laura Melton
- Februay 23 – Bassoon Students from the Studio of Nathaniel Zeisler
- March 2 – Winners of the Fourth Annual Bowling Green Chamber Music Competition
- March 16 – Voice Students from the Studio of Christopher Scholl
- March 23 – An Evening of Arts Song presented by Voice Students from the Studio of Myra Merritt
- March 30 – Winners of the 11th annual Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition
- April 6 – DMA Student Showcase
- April 13 – Graduate String Quartet
In addition, Outreach provides music for such special events for organizations such as Mid Am Bank and Trust; Wood County Hospital; the International Programs’ International Dinner; the Boulé group; and various weddings, church services and commercial performance opportunities throughout northwest Ohio.
