Horn Day, November 10, 2007

General Information

Horn Day is a free event, open to high school horn players of all abilities. It will be an exciting day of solo recitals, a concert by the BGSU Horn Club (the college’s horn ensemble), a master class featuring students and a mass horn ensemble for everyone to perform in.

Everyone will need to bring their horn and mouthpiece, and solo music (if performing on a master class).

All horn ensemble music will be provided.

Schedule

8:30 a.m. Welcome and Registration
9 a.m. BGSU Horn Club Concert
10 a.m. Concert and Workshop with special guest, The Imani Winds
11 a.m. Technique Class and Question & Answer Session
Noon Lunch Break. Bring your own lunch or eat with members of the Horn Club and Dr. Pelletier at the Sundial Food Court.
1 p.m. Faculty recital featuring Dr. Andrew Pelletier
2 p.m. Mass Horn Choir Rehearsal
3 p.m. Master Class (Contact Dr. Pelletier if you would like to perform)
4–4:30 p.m. Formal Mass Horn Choir Concert

Directions

The Moore Musical Arts Center is located on the northeastern side of campus, on the corner of Ridge and Willard Streets.

From Interstate 75, take Exit 181 to Bowling Green. Go west on Wooster Street, turn right on Mercer, turn left on Ridge (opposite the Ice Arena) and turn right on Willard.

The Moore Center will be on your right. Please park in Lot 16 or Lot C, behind the center.
