Alicia de Larrocha

The magnificent de Larrocha opens this season’s series. The great Spanish pianist made her public debut in 1929 and since then has been astounding audiences and critics with her unique and commanding artistry. This diminutive virtuosa is one of the century’s titans of the keyboard.

Maureen Forrester

The foremost contralto of the present day, Maureen Forrester has been heard by audiences on five continents as soloist with virtually every major orchestra in the world. Besides her orchestral and recital appearances, Forrester is well known to audiences the world over through her operatic roles and her many recordings.

Jean-Pierre Rampal

For years now Rampal has been visiting North America, bringing with him his golden flute and his Gallic charm and taking home a trunkful of critical superlatives and journalistic bons mots. The knig still reigns, and now his sovereignty is being extended to Bowling Green.
