Music from Bowling Green at the Manor House
The Outreach Program of the College of Musical Arts presents a number of events off-campus each year. Among them, the popular “Bowling Green at the Manor House” program begins its season in October. The following concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor House at Toledo’s Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
Manor House events for 2007–2008 will include:
- October 16 – Nina Assimakopoulos, flute
- October 23 – Student Jazz Combos
- October 30 – Horn Club
- November 6 – Graduate String Quartet
- November 13 – Students from the Piano Studio of Maxim Mogilevsky
- January 15 – Treble Trouble (Penny Thompson Kruse and Ioana Galu, violin)
- January 22 – Christopher and Ellen Scholl, vocal duo
- January 29 – Students from the Flute Studio of Nina Assimakopoulos
- February 5 – Students from the Vocal Studio of Christopher Scholl
- February 12 – DMA Showcase
- February 19 – Brass Ensembles
- February 26 – Students from the Clarinet Studio of Kevin Schempf
- March 11 – Students from the Voice Studio of Myra Merritt
- March 18 – Students from the Trombone Studio of William Mathis
- March 25 – Russell Schmidt, jazz piano, with Jane Schoonmaker Rodgers, soprano
- April 1 – Winners of the 9th annual Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition
- April 8 – Students from the Piano Studio of Robert Satterlee
- April 15 – Graduate String Quartet
In addition, Outreach provides music for such special events for organizations such as Mid Am Bank and Trust; Wood County Hospital; the International Programs’ International Dinner; the Boulé group; and various weddings, church services and commercial performance opportunities throughout northwest Ohio.
