Music from Bowling Green at the Manor House
The Outreach Program of the College of Musical Arts presents a number of events off-campus each year. Among them, the popular “Bowling Green at the Manor House” program begins its season in October. The following concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Manor House at Toledo’s Wildwood Preserve Metropark.
Manor House events for 2005–2006 will include:
- October 4 – Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble
- October 18 – Students from the Piano Studio of Virginia Marks, BGSU Distinguished Teaching Professor
- October 25 – Selections/scenes from the fall opera production of Gli Amore d’Apollo, e di Dafne by Francesco Cavalli
- November 1 – Students from the Voice Studio of David Okerlund
- November 8 – Student Composers’ Forum
- November 15 – Graduate String Quartet
- February 7 – Christopher and Ellen Scholl, vocal duo
- February 14 – Students from the Flute Studio of Nina Assimakopoulos
- February 21 – Student Brass Ensembles
- February 28 – Saxophone Quartets
- March 14 – Selections from How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying
- March 21 – Students from the Voice Studio of Myra Merritt
- March 28 – Students from the Piano Studio of Robert Satterlee
- April 4 – Winners of the 7th annual Dr. Marjorie Conrad Peatee Art Song Competition
- April 11 – Early Music Ensemble
- April 18 – Students from the Voice Studio of Christopher Scholl
In addition, Outreach provides music for such special events for organizations such as Mid Am Bank and Trust; Wood County Hospital; the International Programs’ International Dinner; the Boulé group; and various weddings, church services and commercial performance opportunities throughout northwest Ohio.
