Philharmonia Auditions
Auditions for the University orchestra, the Bowling Green Philharmonia, will take place Sunday, August 19, and Monday, August 20.
String Auditions will take place on Monday, August 20. Sign-up sheets will be on the bulletin board outside the orchestra office in the Moore Musical Arts Center at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 13.
Wind/Percussion Auditions will take place Sunday, August 19 and Monday, August 20. Returning wind/percussion students should make every effort possible to audition on Sunday, August 19. Returning students please note: there are separate auditions for band and orchestra this year.
Please stop by to sign up for a time as soon as possible.
The first rehearsal for strings will take place on Wednesday, August 22, at 1:30 p.m. in the Kelly Instrumental Rehearsal Hall, room 1012, in the Moore Musical Arts Center.
Audition Materials
Each performer should bring one prepared solo or etude that demonstrates both his/her musical and technical abilities. In addition, everyone will be asked to play orchestra excerpts that are available for his/her specific instrument (see below).
Please download all appropriate materials for your instrument (violin players may audition with Violin I or Violin II). All audition materials are in PDF format.
