Formerly of the Tucson Symphony Orchestra and Arizona Opera Orchestra, Lynne Marie Mangan frequently performs with the Detroit Symphony, Michigan Opera Theatre, Toledo Symphony, Ann Arbor Symphony, Windsor Symphony, and Flint Symphony. Appeared for three seasons at the Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music Orchestra. Artistic Director and a Founding Member of the Great Lakes Consort, and member of the Ann Arbor Symphony Woodwind Quintet. Performs concerts and educational events with the Detroit Chamber Winds. Solo and chamber music performances have been heard on National Public Radio and on several compact discs. Former instructor at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, Yellowstone National Music Camp, and Red Lodge Music Camp. Guest instructor and guest masterclass teacher at several colleges, including Oakland University and the University of Central Arkansas. Clinician and adjudicator for orchestras and educational programs across the United States and Canada. Earned Bachelors of Music and Masters of Music degrees from Arizona State University; additional studies completed at the Banff Centre for the Arts, Boston University, and Harvard. Studies toward the Doctorate of Musical Arts Degree completed at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Primary teachers include Barbara Bishop, Martin Schuring, Richard Killmer, Stuart Dunkel, and Ralph Gomberg. | |
