Faculty Course Reserves

How to put items on Traditional Reserve

  • To insure timely placement of materials on reserve for your courses, follow these guidelines.
  • Bring in the material that you want on Reserve.
  • Pull library material to be placed on Reserve.
  • Provide photocopies of articles to be placed on Reserve.
  • Ensure that all materials include proper citation of source materials.
  • Complete and submit the appropriate Reserve Forms (Traditional  or ERes submission forms).

Timing:

  • Where possible submit materials  and completed forms two to three weeks before the semester begins.
    • Material is put on reserve in the order which it was received.
    • To avoid unnecessary delay, bring your material in BEFORE the semester starts.
  • Material brought in before the semester starts is generally on reserve by the first day of classes.

Many individuals bring reserve material at the beginning of each semester creating a back log.  A critical mass of those items will delay materials being available.

Materials that are not needed by students immediately can be submitted throughout the semester.
