Introduction
Jeffrey A. Carver is an author of the science fiction genre. Literary manuscripts and related materials form the core of this collection.In 1985, Jeffrey A. Carver first began transferring his manuscripts to the Browne Popular Culture Library, Bowling Green State University. This collection is open for research, but the photocopying of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This register was compiled by Nancy White Lee, Popular Culture Library Associate II, in July 1986, updated in July 1992, and again in August 2009 by Patricia Falk.
Biographical Sketch
Jeffrey A. Carver was raised in Huron, Ohio. He graduated from Brown University in 1971 and received a Masters of Marine Affairs from the University of Rhode Island in 1974. He has been a medal-winning wrestler, a scuba diving instructor, and a word-processing consultant. He is a member of the Science Fiction Writers of America. His short stories have appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies. Carver is currently a full-time writer residing in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Transfers

Scope and Content
The Jeffrey A. Carver Collection houses the literary manuscripts for his works. Included are related materials such as new book proposals, outlines, author's handwritten notes, publicity packets, character biographies, and motivational outlines. Correspondence concerning a particular manuscript is housed with that manuscript.
