Introduction

The Becky Barker Collection is 2.5 cubic feet of documents dating from 1986 - 2003. Becky Barker transferred her collection to the Browne Popular Culture Library, Bowling Green State University, in October 1998. The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works, whether authored by Becky Barker or other writers whose works may be found in this collection.

Biographical Sketch

Becky Barker is an established author who specializes in contemporary romances. Many of her novels have a western theme. She has also published the Prescott Pilot Series of romance books. All of her manuscripts incorporate some suspense and/or humor within the overall theme of the book.

Becky Barker has been reading and writing romances for over twenty years. She published her first book in 1987. Her novels have been translated into more than a dozen foreign languages, made available in electronic format, and have been reissued in trade paperback as well as large print library editions.

She lives with her husband in rural Ohio.

Scope and Contents

The Becky Barker Collection is comprised of 2.5 cubic feet of original and edited manuscripts, proofs, galleys, synopses, cover art (photographs, sketches and prints), sample book covers, autographed bookmarks, author corrections, publisher's agreement, copyright form and one unpublished manuscript.
