The Things They Carried |
Library display case devoted to Vietnam materials and materials related to other wars (on display throughout the month of September).
Bobby Muller seeks to provoke thoughtful and penetrating conversation about a host of national security issues, including our national security and the war against terrorism, our foreign policy and America's role in world politics, the real consequences of war, and the possibility of the draft. There will be ample time for audience questions after the presentation.
Winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, Bobby is a Vietnam veteran who, while leading an assault, became paralyzed from the chest down when a bullet severed his spinal cord. He is founder and President of Vietnam Veterans of America, co-founder of the prize-winning Campaign to Ban Landmines, and the Nuclear Threat Reduction Campaign. Bobby is a speaker of exceptional quality, and we are very fortunate to have him on campus.
