Events Related to Selection
During the month of August, Anthony Papini, CSP graduate student and Center for Multicultural & Academic Initiatives intern, facilitated several workshops for those teaching the selection. The hour and a half workshop was titled "Unlearning Homophobia in the Classroom: Sharing Effective Practices."
On September 23, the Social Justice Task Force offered "A Campus Hate Crimes Workshop" with special emphasis on Lessons Learned from The Laramie Project. Featured presenter: Kathy Collins, Interm Assistant Dean of Students--Office of Campus Involvement.
During the week of October 21, the theater department gave several performces of the play, The Laramie Project.
Puchased a copy of HBO's production of The Laramie Project. Available through the DVSS server.
Related Assessments or Evaluations
In December 2003, the Common Reading Experience committee sent a survey to all known faculty, instructors, and peer facilitators involved with teaching this selection. The survey results include responses from 23 people.
