On the heels of 9/11, Hegland kept her promise to travel from her home in California to visit with our students. In addition to spending time with several classes and delivering a campus-wide lecture, the author also participated in a panel discussion titled, "After the Apocalypse: Exploring our Environmental and Social Future." The panelists included:
