Content Description:  Reproductions of official documents produced by the United Nations and some major organizations within the UN organization, such as the General Assembly, the Economic and Social Council, the Security Council, the Trusteeship Council, the Atomic Energy Commission, the Disarmament Commission, the United Nations Special Fund Governing Council and the United Nations Administrative Tribunal.

This collection does not include publications of the Secretariat or of specialized agencies and other autonomous organizations within the United Nations system, such as the International Labour Organization, UNESCO, GATT, the Food and Agriculture Organization, or the World Health Organization unless publications from these organizations were produced jointly with an agency that is included in the collection or unless the publication was attached to a document that was included in the collection.

Index/Bibliography:

1) United Nations Documents; Checklist of the Readex Microprint Edition (REF JX 1977 .R425 1946-1975 -- 4 vols.). This checklist is organized by UN organization and document number. It does not include title or subject indexes, and is primarily useful for checking a UN document number to find out if the document is included in the microcard collection.

2) The Complete Reference Guide to United Nations Sales Publications, 1946-1978 (REF Z 6485 .Z9 U52 1982 v.1-2). Although this set is not an index to the microcard collection, it is a useful source for identifying documents. This set includes a list of documents, a KWIC index, and a title index. United Nations Documents; Checklist of the Readex Microprint Edition (REF JX 1977 .R425 1946-1975 -- 4 vols.) can then be used to determine if the document is contained in the microcard collection.

3) United Nations Official Records, 1948-1962. A Reference Catalog (REF JX 1977 .A2 1963x) This book is not an index to the microcard collection. but can be used to identify documents. United Nations Documents; Checklist of the Readex Microprint Edition (REF JX 1977 .R425 1946-1975 -- 4 vols.) can then be used to determine if the document is contained in the microcard collection.
