1) Lists and Reports of Casualties in Individual States: Arranged alphabetically by state where the engagement took place, then alphabetically by name of the engagement and finally by type of unit.

2) Lists and Reports of Casualties by a Single Unit in More than One State: Arranged chronologically.

3) Lists and Reports of Casualties in Indian Territory: Arranged alphabetically by name of engagement.

Index/Bibliography:  At the beginning of each reel there is a very detailed finding aid to the collection.
