Organization of American States April 30, 1948 - 21 countries of the hemisphere met in Bogotá, Colombia, to adopt the Charter of the Organization of American
States (OAS), which affirmed their commitment to common goals and respect for each nation’s sovereignty. Since then, the OAS
has expanded to include the nations of the Caribbean, as well as Canada.

Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries OPEC is an international Organization of eleven developing countries which are heavily reliant on oil revenues as their main
source of income. Membership is open to any country which is a substantial net exporter of oil and which shares the ideals
of the Organization. The current Members are Algeria, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Libya, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia,
the United Arab Emirates and Venezuela.
World Trade Organization The World Trade Organization (WTO) is the only global international organization dealing with the rules of trade between nations.
At its heart are the WTO agreements, negotiated and signed by the bulk of the world’s trading nations and ratified in their
parliaments. The goal is to help producers of goods and services, exporters, and importers conduct their business. Founded
in 1995 and created by the Uruguay Round negotiations, over 144 countries are members.
