Explains what data is available from the Census Bureau and how to order it.
MAP of Languages created by the Map Library Association (MLA)
The MLA Language Map uses data from the 2000 United States census to display the locations and numbers of speakers of thirty languages and seven groups of less commonly spoken languages in the United States. The Language Map illustrates the density of language speakers in zip codes and counties. The Data Center provides actual numbers and percentages of speakers.
Measuring America: The Decennial Censuses from 1790 to 2000
Produced by the Census Bureau, this publication includes extensive information about the decennial censuses. Included are facimilies of the census questionnaires, 1790-2000. It includes guides to census records and a history of each census.

Another great resource created at Michigan University Documents Center, loaded with information about the census publications issued between 1790 to 2000.
Statistical Abstracts and Historical Statistics of the United States
Includes full text editions of the annual Statistical Abstracts, 1878-
Includes full text of the two volume set: Historical Statistics of the United States, Colonial Times to 1970.
United States Historical Census Data
This site was created by University of Virginia. The data presented here describe the people and the economy of the US for each state and county from 1790 to 1970.
1930 Census Microfilm
The 1930 Census Rolls which include family names are available for purchase, rent, or to view from the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA).
