Mitchell Sharmat
Mitchell Sharmat is the author of Gregory, The Terrible Eater. He was born and raised in Brookline Massachusetts, and graduated from Harvard College and is now an investor. Mitchell is married to well-known children's author, Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. He had frequently provided his wife's books with a key phrase or idea before he started his own literacy career.
Mitchell Sharmat has been writing in his spare time since 1979. In addition
to writing several books on his own, he and his wife have collaborated and co-wrote
the Olivia Sharp, Agent for Secrets series. His investments in the stock market
later inspired one of his books, Hello...this is my father speaking. He is best
known for Gregory, The Terrible Eater, which was used in a Reading Rainbow
Featured Selection.
Mitchell Sharmat, and his wife Marjorie Weinman Sharmat live in Tucson, Arizona.
They have two grown sons, Craig and Andrew and a grandson, Nathan. They have
a shaggy dog named Dudley, who Mitchell says is his most trusted stock market
advisor.
