Have you ever found a rock that has an impression in it? If you have, you have found a fossil! What did the fossil look like? Where did you find it? Complete the fossil webquest today to discover interesting facts about fossils!
After reading the book Mary Anning: Fossil Hunter by Sally Walker, you will use the computer to learn about fossils.

1. As a class, read Mary Anning: Fossil Hunter by Sally Walker.
2. After reading, answer the following questions on a separate piece of paper. Your responses should be written with complete sentences. You will need to scroll down for the information on the website:
How does a plant or animal become a fossil?
3.Find out where fossils are collected by visiting http://web.ukonline.co.uk/conker/fossils/how-to-collect.htm
4. Go to http://web.ukonline.co.uk/conker/fossils/how-to-collect.htm to find out what you need to collect fossils. On a piece of paper, make a list of what you need!
5. To review your knowledge of fossils, play the Fossil Game.
6. Print the Fossil Word Search and find all of the fossil words in the puzzle!
