Journal Entry
Journal does not answer all of the required role questions. Journal questions are answered, but not in a clear and thoughtful way. Answers do not reflect a clear historical perspective. Written from a historical perspective of the appropriate role. All questions are answered, they are very clear, and show evidence of thought, reflection,and understanding.
Illustration
Missing or extremely messy. Relation of Illustration to the text of the journal is not clear. Illustration clearly depicts information conveyed in the text of the journal. Colorful and neat.
Presentation/Discussion within Group
Did not participate or disrupted the group. Participated in group discussion, but only when required. Willingly participated and interacted within the group to present the journal entries.
Memory Book
Missing pieces of group members' work. Essay does not show clear evidence of though or understanding. Messy or unorganized.

Essay addresses most, but not all of the questions/key points. Includes all group members work.

Neat and organized.

Contains a well thought, organized reflective essay, which addresses all key points. All members' journal entries and illustrations are included and are neat.
Presentation to Class
Unorganized; lack of thought and understanding evident in presentation. 1 or more group members do not participate. Ideas/thoughts are not presented clearly from the memory book and/or essay. Each group member contributes to the presentation. Memory book is presented, illustrations are used, and ideas/thoughts from the essay are shared.
