Adult in Birkenau Concentration Camp
You have just entered an era of horror. Now, you are thirty-five, your husband/wife has been sent to another camp along with your two children. The thought of them brings a tear to your eye. You think to yourself how amazing it is that you can still feel emotion after all you have seen, but you no longer know if they are alive.
This place is new and frightening. The stench in the air is nearly unbearable, and you know exactly what this rancid smell comes from. You hoped that the rumors about Birkenau were wrong, but from the smell you know that the large stone rooms are incinerators, pits of fire used to exterminate Jews.
