INTRODUCTION
Is a dandelion a flower? Did you know that a dandelion is
actually a weed? On your quest today, you will learn all about the life
cycle of and beauty of dandelions.
TASK
After reading the book, Dandelions by Mia Posada, you will work with a partner
to discover the following:
- Characteristics of dandelions
- Picture of the plant, the blow ball, and one seed left
- How
to make a parachute
- computer - PC or MAC
- access to the Internet via Netscape or Explorer

- cellophane or tissue paper square 36cm (1 per student)
- masking tape
- paper clips (4 per child)
- scissors
- hole punch (students may share)
