Introduction

Picture of Harry With Hedwig

Harry Potter is a young wizard who has helped to turn on a new generation of children to reading. Even though children are picking up books and reading them constantly there are still many members of society who disagree with this act. They do not disagree with reading but they disagree with Harry Potter. Some local community members have grouped together to propose the removal of the Harry Potter books from the school libraries. They believe that Harry Potter gives children a false sense of witchcraft and wizardry. They are worried that children will practice the art of witchcraft and wizardry, but this is not the case. This is why we must find a way to keep the Harry Potter books in the schools. You have been asked to join a group of local school affiliates to propose at the next school board meeting that the Harry Potter books shall remain on the shelves of the school library. Good Luck!
