Special Features: This map denotes the beginning of the 1960’s, as the campus of the past meets the future. Most of the temporary housing erected for the use of the military during WW II are gone, as are the temporary classroom buildings. Overman Hall, north of Ridge Street is complete, and a new men's residence center is planned for the southeast corner of campus. In planning campus housing, gender segregation was an important consideration. Women's housing, in sororities and dorms, are bounded primarily by Wooster and Thurstin streets, west of the Administration building (now University Hall) , with Hanna and Moseley, acting as a physical demarcation between the two sexes. Men's residences are all located east of the Administration-Hanna-Moseley line.
