Select a Tour | Select an Aerial Tour | Select a Building

Date: 1990s
View: Union Oval area, looking northwest
Special Features: At left is the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The sidewalk's path leads back to McDonald East, a residence hall. The two tall buildings in the distance behind that are Offenhauer Towers, which also serve as student housing. Partially obscured by the tree at right is the Mathematical Sciences Building which houses the offices of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Ogg Science Library (closed 2009), 12 classrooms, the Scientific Computing Laboratory, and two science lecture halls.
The sidewalks radiate like spokes on a wheel from one building to another. Planners have tried to ensure that decorative landscaping contributes to an attractive environment.
