Aerial Views - 1960-1970 Math-Science Building Construction
Select a Tour | Select an Aerial Tour | Select a Building

Date: Late 1960s
View: Looking East, Wooster Street at right
Special Features: Construction has begun on the Mathematical Sciences building (completed 1970), part of the science research complex. In town, on the right edge of the photograph, housing developments are popping up and a strip mall has been built near the Interstate exchange. Overall, the old central campus, built before World War II has a distinct architectural look compared to the very modern designs used during the next decades. The original President's home is still just visible east of Founders, on the right side of the photograph. Since its replacement by other residences, the building had been used for administrative offices and student services. It was demolished not long after this photograph was taken.
