Aerial Views - 1960-1970 Kreischer Under Construction, ca. 1966
Select a Tour | Select an Aerial Tour | Select a Building

Date: About 1966
View: Looking East from Main, north of Wooster
Special Features: Jerome Library is seen under construction at the top of the former athletic field. As the campus developed, planners made an effort to build classroom and instruction-related buildings in the center of campus, with student residence halls at the outer edges. Athletic events which would attract large crowds (and their need for extensive parking) would be pushed to the east end of the campus, although basketball remains in Memorial Hall. Kreischer Quadrangle is seen under construction, to the left of Harshman. The natural ponds that formed a water hazard on the old campus golf course would form a single decorative feature called "Peregrine Pond."
