Special Features: A closer view of what will become the east end of the campus shows the barn of the Karnes Farm near "Tin Pan Alley" barracks (the present site of Jerome Library). A baseball diamond is a prominent feature, as is a small dirt running track. The semi-circle of shrubs on the farm property may have been the inspiration for the arrangement of the cottage-style housing units built not long after this photograph was taken.
