The 1970s was a time of maturing for BGSU. Academic programs begun in the late 1960s grew stronger. Buildings for science
programs, the College of Business Administration, and the Student Recreation Center were completed. Renovations were made
to physical education facilities, and many other buildings. The energy crisis of the mid-1970s had a profound effect on the
way lighting, heating, and cooling of buildings was handled.
