Nick J. Mileti

Nick J. Mileti is a BGSU graduate (Class of 1953) and a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He has enjoyed a successful career as a business entrepreneur. Following graduation from Bowling Green, he served in the US Army, and later earned his law degree. Working in sports and promotions, Mileti became a leading figure in the Cleveland community, including ownership of the Cleveland Indians. As the owner and developer of the Richfield Coliseum, he was awarded the NBA franchise for Cleveland and was the first owner of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He has producer credits on two films, and is the author of several books. Mileti has served on the BGSU Board of Trustees (1985-1993) and is also a strong financial supporter of the university.
The Mileti Alumni Center was dedicated in his honor in 1979.
