Dear Wife
I received your sweet letter and was indeed very glad to get it; this is the first time I have
been here since Tuesday morning I was in the country and could not get mail to you. I am
well and have sold 360 rds this week and expect to sell about that much more this week. But to
day it is raining and I may not go out; I am feeling good & I hope my honey is feeling
fine to. Was sorry to here Lew was having a time with [Jaw] I got a letter from Fritz this morning.
he said the machine was running fine, that is a mighty good sign I hope they succeed.
I had a time this week. There was a fellow here selling fence that followed
me around for days & [stopped] where ever I did I wanted to run him out
of the country & I thought [illegible]. He got one order I got 3. He has give me up
for a bad job, we was both at one man's house tuesday from 11 o'clock untill 9 that night.
I got the order He Got [nocked] out. How is dis I fool im yet [wont it]. Well Honey
I could write 4 pages yet but must go to work. Hoping you keep well and Be good
