Paper Conservation
Fee Schedules | Microfilming Services & Costs | Purchasing Microfilm
The primary responsibility of the Center for Archival Collections' Paper Conservation Laboratory is the care and preservation of the books and paper documents of Bowling Green State University. Some conservation services are also available to the general public on a contract basis. These services include the minor repair, washing, deacidification, and encapsulation of paper documents. Custom encasing boxes and other archival enclosures can be made.
In order to discuss treatment options and provide accurate estimates, Preservation Laboratory staff must see the item in person. Please call for an appointment +1-419-874-4128 or +1-419-372-5763, or contact Eric Honneffer, Conservator. All estimates are based on an hourly rate of $75.00 and current materials costs.
For an overview of services and techniques used, see the article on Document Conservation in the Archival Chronicle .
