Historical Collections of the Great Lakes

 This collection of more than 130,000 images depicts the vessels, people, ports, and places of the American and Canadian Great Lakes region from the late nineteenth century to the present. Online access to some of the photographs of Lake Erie ports is available through the Great Lakes Ports Online Database. Vessel photographs are arranged according to the original name of the vessel and are one of the HCGL's most frequently requested resources. The HCGL also maintains vessel data sheets for more than 10,000 vessels that had careers on the Lakes. The Great Lakes Vessels Online Database provides access to many of these photographs.
