November

1 Tuesday. I am sick today.

2 Wednesday. I am sick today.

3 Thursday. Findley Barton died today. I am so sick I can't go to see him.

4 Friday. I am sick today.

5 Saturday. I was layd out to die, but God spaired my life a little longer.

6 Sunday. I am sick today.

7 Monday. I am sick today. Wilson Brown died today.

8 Tuesday. I am gaining some, but very slow. I hope that I'll soon be able to be around again.

9 Wednesday. I very unwell yet. We get but little grub.

10 Thursday. I am gaining some.

11 Friday. I feel better today. W.H. Wheeler died today.

12 Saturday. All well. I am now on the mend.

13 Sunday. I am giting better. Got a bad cough.

14 Monday. Big talk of us being exchanged. I hope it true. Hard work to keep the lice all killed.

15 Tuesday. I am on the mend, but very weak. I eat crust coffee.

16 Thursday. [Actually Wednesday - some day confusion] Cool this morning. I bought a vest today for seven dollars in confed.

17 Friday. [Thursday] I am some better today. Pleasant day. Walter Wood died today. 12 hundred died since we come hear.

18 Saturday. [Friday] I am some better today.

19 Sunday. [Saturday] Wet day today. I am about the same.

20 Monday. [Sunday] Raining yet.

21 Monday. Raining yet.

22 Tuesday. I am gitting better sloly. I thank God for it.

23 Wednesday. Coald night. Froze hard. I slep coald.

24 Thursday. Pleasant day. I feel better today.

25 Friday. Pleasant day. I am better.

26 Saturday. All got 1/4 rations today.

27 Sunday. I dreampt that I was at home talking with my wife & got something good to eat. I got a letter from home today & was glad to hear from home.
